Impact of Duplicated content

Duplicated content is often spoken about but even more often misunderstood. Duplicated content is content that can be found on different websites and that will make Search Engines question themselves about how legit your website really is or is it just a scam using other websites information to get some traffic to make some money from that traffic. Having some duplicated content can reduce the power and penalize your website on the Search engines position. You should always make sure your content is unique using cityscape. But what happens when other websites steals your content and therefore creates duplicated content? It is relevant to how Google indexed your page and if it was created before the other duplicated content. There are some spam sites that copies your content as soon as it comes out, and they post it as their own. There isn’t much you can do about that. But remember that Google is intelligent and they don’t penalize websites for nothing.

BUT you must also realize that some sites steals content, and doesn’t get you penalized at all since your content was older and if it was the case, then all the biggest sites out there would get massive penalties since they get duplicated all the time. Just don’t copy stuff and you will be alright!
